About Pro Re Established in 1986 to specialise in Insurance and Reinsurance Industry Recruitment & Consulting. The company was acquired in 2005 by Felix Zaccar. Felix has over 35 years experience in the Insurance and Reinsurance Industry in Australia, the UK, and Asia. For over 17 years Felix was the Group CEO of the Gerling Group in Australia. Three years as the CEO of Gerling UK including its Lloyd's syndicate completes his recent history to 2002. In 2006, Felix Zaccar, with a view to focussing on his Directorships in the industry, has reduced his involvement with Pro-Re. Jim Dashwood, with 22 years experience in the industry, both in Australia and the UK, has taken control from Felix as Managing Director and majority shareholder. Jim was the Finance Director of Bain Clarkson Pacific Insurance Brokers in the late 1980’s and Finance Manager for QBE Insurance in their International and Australian divisions during the 1990’s. He has been consulting for Pro Re since 2000. John Dailey, the founder of the Group, remains as a Consultant to the company with responsibility for the Recruitment Division. Other group activities ensure we have regular and close contact with the Industry as Consultants and Run-off providers. Our associates have offices in the United Kingdom, Europe, North America and Latin America giving us an International outlook & regular contacts outside Australia.
