Pro Re Pty Limited is committed to full compliance with the 10 National Privacy Principles ('NPP') laid down in the amendments to the Privacy Act 1988 contained in  The Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000.

This Act and various other privacy laws apply to Pro Re. These laws regulate the way organisations:

  • Collect
  • Use
  • Disclose
  • Keep secure and
  • Provide people with access to their personal information. Personal information is defined as information relating to an individual that uniquely identifies them.

This policy tells you what information we at Pro Re will collect and keep, what we do with it, and what your rights are in relation to that information.
 

Collecting and using your personal information

In order to provide consulting and professional recruiting services both to our company clients and our individual candidates (either Full-time, Part-time Permanent or Project/Casual contractors) and at the same time respecting the individual's rights of privacy we need to collect, use, and disclose some personal information. We consider all information about both clients and candidates to be private and confidential. We commit ourselves to the highest levels in ensuring the safekeeping of that information.

What kind of information will we collect?

In order to establish a positive linkage between clients and candidates, we collect from candidates the following information (other than that required for normal employment purposes):

  • Your name and contact details (address, home, mobile, fax and business phone numbers)
  • Your e-mail address (if you have one)
  • Your job skills and recent job history
  • Desired Salary Package/Required hourly contract rate
  • Educational details/Qualifications

We reserve the right to use a standard format for candidate resumes that are submitted to client companies. This ensures consistency of presentation to them. We are happy to provide candidates with copies of their formatted resume, on request.

In order to provide prospective candidates with sufficient information relating to an assignment/project/placement on offer from our company clients, we collect from the client the following information:

  • Your company Name
  • Your company representative's name and contact details
  • Your company representative's Title, Department, and Location
  • The job description of the role you are seeking to fill
  • Your skills specification for the person you seek to employ
  • Your desired cost/remuneration for the assignment/project/placement

The information we collect from our web-site

Our web-site (www.pro-re.com.au) asks candidates for the following information:

  • Your name and contact details
  • Your Resume, but only if you wish to submit it

For client companies we ask you for:

  • Your company name and contact details
  • How can we help you?

What are 'Cookies'?

'Cookies' is a technical term for the collection of information on who is visiting a web-site. Many web-site operators use it, when people browse their web-sites. We do not, neither do we intend to, use this method of information collection.

We do not sell our candidate or client information

Information about our clients or candidates is not sold to any other company, individual or group.

We do not send any client or candidate information overseas

It is very rare for the need to send personal information overseas. However, in the instances where this occurs, prior written consent will be obtained from either clients or candidates as to detail (including the receiving country) being transferred.
 

Disclosing your personal information

General

We will not release any information about our candidates unless:

  • We have your prior written or verbal consent.
  • We believe the recipient of the information to be an authorised representative of our company client who is seeking to fill an assignment/project/placement to which the candidate is closely suited.
  • We are required by law to release information to the recipient

Keeping your personal information safe

All client and candidate information is protected from unauthorised access through the use of secure passwords, user log-ons and other security procedures. Developments in security and encryption technology are reviewed regularly.

We remind our clients and candidates of the intrinsic insecurities of the Internet as an information source and communications medium.
 

Your right to correct your personal information

You may request access to any personal information we hold about you. If it is incorrect we will correct it at your request.
